Zaanse Schans

Saturday, November 3, 2007

Zaanse Schans in Dutch means "Reduced to Zaanse", although now it is no longer ofa fortification. In fact, at a trench of the sixteenth century arose what is known as an eco-museum. In 1950, mills, houses and buildings in common use in the region dating from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries were grouped to form a village.
In the village are a manufacturer of hoofs, a plumber, cheese, the Historical Museum of Watchmaking and the Dutch Bakery.
There are also a restaurant, a boat and some shops that mark the life of this complex of buildings, mostly wood and green. Some can be visited, others are inhabited by people who appreciate the peace of the canals and bridges quest'enclave a little fake. Eye
